Dear Amy, I've missed seeing you in person along Santa Cruz! I forwarded this to my sister-in-law who traversed this mountain alongside my baby brother 8 years ago. We did not see the victory we desired in the end, but that didn't invalidate the many wins along the way - the steadfast faithfulness of getting up and the putting one foot in front of the other, the searching for new mercies each morning, the hands held, the feet massaged, the tears wiped. May God strengthen you on this challenging climb and bless you with great companions, and a victorious summit!

Thank you for this update! I have cherished every post from your journey these last few years. My mom went through immunotherapy for stage 4 melanoma (in the liver). Similarly, she was getting a 2 drug combo that had just been approved by the FDA the week prior - there was very little data on what to expect. And, it was very tough. But, she is still cancer free many years later. So, we continue to send bold prayers and big hugs your way.

You are so articulate about what it has taken to climb the mountain, to walk the trail wherever it may lead. Here's me, applauding and sending love.

From "lean towards yes", to "be grateful for chemo", your wisdom, spirit and perspective has helped me through my own cancer adventures. Thank you for writing and I hope and pray that, as badly as the immunotherapy has treated you, it's wreaking havoc on those mets!
